Resume Photo-a-Day for 2011. Yay or nay?
It’s a lot of work. This is what my 2009 P-a-Ds turned into. I know I can take much better quality photos in 2011 than I could then. (I mean, I actually know that I’m doing now. Kind of.) The question is: Do I want to take the time to actually do it? Voting begins… now!

White Christmas 2010
Christmas is a hectic time for pretty much everyone, right? Jonathan and I live just close enough to our families that we try to be everything to everyone and attend every single Christmas event. Christmas Eve with Jonathan’s immediate family, Christmas morning with just the two of us, then we drive four hours to Alabama for Christmas lunch with my mom’s family, then back to Jackson...
Christmas Highlights
I have pictures I plan to upload soon, but I thought you should know some of the highlights of my Christmas this year.
1. Poppy seed turkey
2. Driving to Gadsden with Jonathan in the snow early Christmas morning
3. Dad accidentally flying my Eli’s brand new toy helicopter into the fireplace
Also, I got a snow weasel.

Her...

Expanding
Last night, I sent out a tweet asking where Jonathan and I should move to. It may sound like a joke, but I was completely serious. We just can’t make up our mind. Since it’s hard to fit all the details of a potential relocation into 140 characters, I thought I should expand a little.
As of November 1, Jonathan accepted a new job that allows him to work from home. I too have been...

{lucy's one!}
I love this baby. It’s hard to believe that she’s a year old, but she is. And she enjoyed every minute of her birthday cake.
This was my first shoot using my new lens. I love the lens when I get it right, but I definitely need more practice with it. The pictures aren’t perfect, but the baby in them is. :)
Happy birthday, Lucy!

Dear Christmas Lovers,
Ta dah!
I fought it. I looked for every excuse not to put up a Christmas tree this year, but somehow, I ended up doing it anyway. Oh, commercialized holidays, what you do to me.
It’s not the prettiest, and yes, it is actually only half a tree, but it’s a tree, and for me, that’s overachieving.
Now if I could only talk the wondercat into sleeping under it. Because that’s...

To put up a Christmas tree or to not put up a Christmas tree?
First, things you should know:
I’ve never been a big Christmas decorations person. For this, I blame my grandmother.
Our tree is gigantic. This was a lapse in judgment last year.
We won’t be here on Christmas.
I obviously need to learn how to make decisions on my own.
Now what?
