Christmas is a hectic time for pretty much everyone, right? Jonathan and I live just close enough to our families that we try to be everything to everyone and attend every single Christmas event. Christmas Eve with Jonathan’s immediate family, Christmas morning with just the two of us, then we drive four hours to Alabama for Christmas lunch with my mom’s family, then back to Jackson two days later for Christmas with Jonathan’s mom’s family. We usually end up missing the King Christmas, which I hate missing. If any of your guys have some sort of invention that allows you to be two places at once, I’ll be happy to try it out for you around the holidays.
I didn’t take many pictures over Christmas, but I did pick up my camera a couple of times.

This was our shopping plan. Really, I just wanted to feel like I was on Home Alone.

This is Nestle, Laura’s new cat, at Christmas Eve breakfast at Jonathan’s parents’.

Ever played Quelf? Jonathan has.

Admittedly, I didn’t have time to get the picture in focus. I was just trying to catch Dad playing with my cousin’s toy helicopter — that he had just received that morning — as he accidentally flew it into the fireplace. And melted it.

Also, my first white Christmas. Lots of family, good food, Christmas day and snow? Perfect.
