1. Another Chat with Ma

    1. Ma: Will you have someone go to my funeral dressed like the Grim Reaper? Don't say anything. Just stand there.
    2. Me: I'm going to have to start keeping a list of all your postmortem requests.
    3. Ma: I want the Grim Reaper to squeak my clown nose. One time.
    4. Me: How am I going to cremate you and put you in fireworks AND give you a clown nose?
  3. This might be my favorite picture ever. Love those babies (and their mama).

  4. I love these people.

  5. I’m spending my weekend with these people!

  6. I saw my grandfather this weekend…

    1. Grandaddy: (shocked look on face) What are those socks you're wearing?! (Regarding my reddish tights)
    2. Me: You don't like them?
    3. Grandaddy: Well, (nervous laugh) I just like you…
    4. Nice save.

  7. White Christmas 2010

Christmas is a hectic time for pretty much everyone, right? Jonathan and I live just close enough to our families that we try to be everything to everyone and attend every single Christmas event. Christmas Eve with Jonathan’s immediate family, Christmas morning with just the two of us, then we drive four hours to Alabama for Christmas lunch with my mom’s family, then back to Jackson two days later for Christmas with Jonathan’s mom’s family. We usually end up missing the King Christmas, which I hate missing. If any of your guys have some sort of invention that allows you to be two places at once, I’ll be happy to try it out for you around the holidays.

I didn’t take many pictures over Christmas, but I did pick up my camera a couple of times.

This was our shopping plan. Really, I just wanted to feel like I was on Home Alone.

This is Nestle, Laura’s new cat, at Christmas Eve breakfast at Jonathan’s parents’.

    Ever played Quelf? Jonathan has.

Nestle sleeping on the table when she thought no one was looking.

Memaw on Christmas Day cutting the ham.

Admittedly, I didn’t have time to get the picture in focus. I was just trying to catch Dad playing with my cousin’s toy helicopter — that he had just received that morning — as he accidentally flew it into the fireplace. And melted it.

Also, my first white Christmas. Lots of family, good food, Christmas day and snow? Perfect.

  8. 'Tis me and my Ma with Santa!

  9. Wishful Dreaming

    1. Me: I dreamed last night that you surprised me with a new tripod and a Shootsac before I shot a wedding. I believe dreams come true.
    2. Ma: I dreamed I was on a date with Bear Bryant in a Big Bird truck. Good luck with that.
  10. Four generations of Pruetts. This is about 80 percent of the people I love most in the world, all in one photo.
